No B.S Friday: They key to making it look easy is weirder than you think…
How do I make it look so easy.
100 million dollar business. Pumping property portfolio. Loving and exciting marriage. Great health and the body of a Greek God (admittedly more weather-beaten Zeus than Adonis these days, but hey, I’ll take it.)
And I’m barely breaking a sweat.
And that’s not just because I present well on Instagram, and because I don’t people see behind the façade to all the sweat and tears that’s going on behind the scenes.
The truth is that there isn’t all that much sweat and there’s barely any tears.
My life is pretty easy.
And yours can be too.
And I’m going to let you in on a little secret here. I’m going to give you the key to an easy life of your own.
Want to know what it is?
You have to let it be easy.
Most of us aren’t willing to let our lives be easy.
They think that they have to be hard. They think that we have to work ourselves down to the bone.
They think that if they don’t slave their guts out, then life is just not going to given them anything of what they want.
And why do they think that?
Well – and this is the key idea here – it’s because they don’t think they’re worthy of anything intrinsically.
They don’t think they just naturally deserve to be happy and have nice things.
Being happy and having nice things is only available to us if we work really hard and make huge sacrifices.
This is such a foundational idea in the architectures of belief for so many people.
It is a belief – and a belief that shapes our entire reality – that we just don’t deserve anything unless we have made some big sacrifices.
I don’t have this belief.
Once I saw it there, I removed it.
(Repeat after me: “The universe is hungry to give me what I want and I simply deserve it.)
And once I changed my belief system – once I believed that I could receive any and all of life’s gifts without having to ‘purchase’ them with sacrifice, life just started to come easily.
In my belief-built reality, there is just no reason why I can’t have love, or why million dollar deals just land in my lap out of nowhere, or why I can’t enjoy robust health…
… without lifting a finger.
Our beliefs shape our reality, and most people just never question this one.
And if you don’t believe, ask yourself this: What systems does it serve if we all think that we have to work like beavers on cocaine to get even our most basic needs met?
… if our fundamental belief system is nothing more than a slavery-mindset with i-phones?
Hmmm?
